Internet was spotty on my last day, but OK most of the time.
Austere, but very comfortable and well-run, this was a great base for exploring Prague. Staff was very helpful with planning public transportation. As luck would have it, I had a private room, since there was no one else in my dorm.
Matress, blankets and linens weren't clean or new, towels were super small. Wi-fi worked bad and then stopped to work at all. Cause hostel is cheap there were somestrange (not in the good way) people. They also allow to smoke in the kitchen so it is a real problem for non-smoking people.
It is cheap and not so far away from the city center (up to 30 min). Room had enormous windows (but in summer it is a disadvantage too).
You need to have credit card machines, not only cash payment!
Also, if you are a girl and ended up with room 125, ask to change immediately, as there is a resident old lady in room 124 who rents the room and lives there and she shouts over everything! I think she has a mental problem! She doesn't speak English and she is so vulgar and impolite! She will scream at your face if there is one drop of water on the bathroom floor left! And no one can do anything about it as she is old and she really lives there! Finally, wifi is not good inside the room!
Nice rooms, with comfortable beds concidering being a hostel. Clean bathroom and friendly cleaning stuff.
Receptionists are friendly too but some of them don't speak english.
There is a computer in the corridor.
PS. If you are coming from Florenc bus station, do not follow the directions from internet, it will take you an hour! Just take the metro from Florenc stop to Palmovka (B yellow line) and when you get out in palmovka, upstairs there is a tram stop, take Tram 25 to Kabešova stop! And when you are there you just cross the little crossing and the hostel will be on your right after 2 blocks!
You must bear in mind that this is an extremely budget place to stay, so don't expect much. However, it was a clean and basic place with good showers and decent beds. That's all you really need if you are a traveller. It was an odd location, a bit of a trek from the station but it's down a straight road so not too hard to find. Don't expect much and you'll be fine. Worth the money you're paying!
A little bit out of the way in prague 9 very modern complex reception staff not good english but friendly. At reception you are given a card which you show on entering and also there is a big gate you have to go through on coming and going. The rooms have single beds and everything is clean.There is a kitchen but with no cups or plates and no knifes and forks.
